Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday 28th May 2016 we will be cycling approximately 160km from Derry to Fanad Lighthouse in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited disease that primarily affects the lungs and the digestive system. Ireland has the highest incidence of CF in the World, approximately 1 in 19 Irish people are said to 'carry' one copy of the altered gene that causes CF.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) is a voluntary organisation that was set up by parents in 1963 to improve the treatment & facilities for people living with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland. Their aim is to:

  • Fund Cystic Fibrosis hospital units throughout Ireland.
  • Provide grants for individuals with Cystic Fibrosis.
  • Advocate for & provide advice & information for people with Cystic Fibrosis & their families.
  • Fund research for Cystic Fibrosis

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please help us in fundraising and spreading awareness for this very deserving charity.

Many thanks,

Paddy Callaghan, Declan Alcorn, Trevor Alcorn, Stephen Blackburn, Eamon Callaghan, Andrew Carr, Austin Concannon, James Connolly, Tomás Coyne, Kevin Doherty, Seamie Friel, Mickey Kelly, David Lynch, Kevin McCafferty, Paddy McConigley, Columba McVeigh, JP O'Donnell , Brian Peoples and Frankie Sweeney.
