Dudley MBC are carrying out a consultation on removing non-statutory provision of transport to specialist nurseries for under 5s with disabilities and additional needs.  This will mean some children will not be able to access the provision, we feel Dudley don't fully understand the implications and there are factual errors in the consultation document.  Although Dudley do not have a legal requirement to provide transport to nursery placements, often children are placed many miles from home and parents are physically not able to get them there.  We know there have to be cuts but we feel simply removing this provision from the budget is too simplistic.

We have been in discussion with a legal team we regularly consult with, they are able to support us and work through all of the information we are gathering but unless a parent would qualify for legal aid they obviously need payment.  They have offered us their services for £500.

Should we raise more than £500 we will use the money to help cover our significant costs so we can continue to fight for our carers and their children.
