Story
Like many others I care about the devistating war in Syria and I especially care for the displaced children. Children On The Edge have a great program to build schools in the refugee camps in neighbouring Lebanon, which provide education, love, care and protection for displaced Syrian children. Government support in the camps doesn't provide enough and charities like CotE are necessary in providing the needed resources.
I am aiming to raise the full £20k needed to build a tent school and run it for a year. I believe that, while this is a huge sum for one person to raise, social networking and the care of the many people out there who want to help the crisis but don't know how should make it an achievable target. Please do support this great cause with as much as you feel happy to afford, and know that Children On The Edge will use the money to improve the lives of these poor children that are in such an awful situation right now. Here's how money can be used as soon as it is donated:
£97 Can help to run a tent school for one day - helping to give a safe space for 100 children ( less than £1 per child per day)
£2,987 Can employ a teacher for a year in a tent school for a year
£194 Covers all the costs of educating a child in a tent school for a year
£25 Can provide one child with all the books and pencils they need for a year.
£10 Can buy a warm winter coat to wrap up a Syrian child this winter
