As some of you may know Damien ran a marathon in Sierra Leone, Africa with Craig Anderson (Managing Director - DUAL New Zeland) and collectively raised over $14,400 for Street Child.

This cause is close to our hearts and Street Child is one of the only charities still working to try and assist in the current Ebola outbreak in Africa. Many charities have thrown in the towel as the problem as become so wide spread the situation is out of their control. One statement has really stood out to us:

"Currently, the death toll is 2,917 from 6,263 reported cases. Some reports estimate the number of cases reaching 20,000 by October 2014 and 1 million by January 2015. Despite the World Health Organisation (WHO) declaring the outbreak a global health emergency, the global response has been slow and help is just not arriving fast enough"
