Hello everybody, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In the picture is Aimee, my wife's  sister, born 19 years ago with (quite literally) half a heart. This ‘single ventricle’ condition requires lengthy and complicated operations over many years to afford a palliative repair, providing Aimee with a better quality of life. 

Throughout all of this, the charity Little Hearts Matter gave extraordinary support to the family - through information about children with half a heart and how they will have to live a bit differently to normal, how to take the extra precautions and to be aware of the risks there will be for childhood and in later life.

This July, we, the Daft Octopus cycle team hope to help raise awareness and money for this brilliant charity by taking part in the Prudential Ride, London- Surrey 100.

If you could spare a few pounds it would really help this important and wonderful charity continue to support these families and to help children with a single ventricle condition, just like Aimee.
