Story
We are a team of nine apprentices from Dale Power Solutions, marking the company’s 80th anniversary by fundraising for St Catherine’s Hospice, who have their 30th anniversary this year. Our founder, Leonard Dale, was one of the original founders of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Saint Catherine’s Hospice works with and for the community of North and East Yorkshire, providing specialist care for those with a life-limiting or life threatening illness. All care given to patients is appropriate to their individual needs and according to their personal wishes. They are a registered charity and support patients and families across Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Bridlington, Driffield and beyond. For more information on the amazing work St Catherine’s do all year round please visit http://www.stcatherineshospice-nyorks.org/about-us/.
We are taking part in the Brathay Apprentice Challenge which aims to raise awareness of apprenticeships through fundraising and participating in a community project, ours being the restoration of a historic shelter on Scarborough’s South Cliff designed by the late Joseph Paxton:

Donations for St Catherine’s Hospice can be made at the P1 Powerboat Championship weekend on the 30th and 31st of May where the apprentice team will be shaking buckets at the seafront display.
Our team will also be holding a company quiz night and a raffle with prizes including a ride in a P1 Powerboat and an overnight stay in the Four Star Crown Spa Hotel.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated in helping us support St Catherine’s Hospice of which our company has strong ties to.
