Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Having lived in Madagascar for nearly two years I have seen first hand the immense need for infrastructural support and capacity building in the healthcare system.... patients without access to basic medicines, healthcare facilities with a bare minimum of materials for proper diagnosis and treatment, and chronic under-resourcing in the training of front line healthcare workers. I have also seen the immense impact just a small donation can have on improving the lives of the Malagasy people; specifically through GSK's 20% reinvestment programme in partnership with AMREF. It is for that reason I am delighted to be running the London marathon for AMREF health Africa, whose programme directly supports front-line healthcare worker training, focused on East and Southern Africa (and of course, including Madagascar!).
