Story
I ran the Marathon in 1996 when I was 29 and fit. 20 years later to celebrate, I am doing a lap of honour, this time without cartilage in my knees.
My preparation has been awful. I have had a month off injured and a week of skiing which hasn't helped. I didn't think I was going to make it hence only contacting you 2 weeks before.
I managed a half marathon this week so what could go wrong. I am determined to get round or die trying. I am hoping for a time of around 3:45. That's to finish at 3:45 PM.
The Charity I am running for The Stickler Syndrome Support Group found me, as this was the only way to enter at the end of January but they do great work for a worthy cause.
Thanks in advance for your generosity
