Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
During my long career in broadcasting I presented many arts programmes, and one of my greatest enthusiasms has been for dance. During that time I saw hundreds of fabulous performances - and some not so fabulous- and also met and interviewed many legends of the dance world- Fonteyn, Nureyev, Ninette de Valois- you name it ! Now that I have retired from that scene, I've had the good luck to be asked to use that experience as Dance Critic of the Oxford Times- a wonderful job for a dance-lover
So, I know what dance should look like- but can I do it ? I'm the oldest competitor in Strictly Oxford and I've never had any dance training. I'm going to give this opportunity my very best shot -partly because it seems fitting that I should finally tread the boards as a dancer, and, more importantly, because its in aid of Vale House a charity for Dementia sufferers and their familties. I feel particularly in tune with their work, as my wife Suzanne and I have a very close family member who suffers from this terrible disease.
