<p>On April 14th I will be joining a team of volunteers for the last week of their epic journey driving 2 vehicles from Southampton to the Upper East Region of Ghana. When they arrive the vehicles will be converted to ambulances and donated to the Afrikids Medical Centre. Ambulances are desperately needed in this region where 1 in 9 children die before their 5h birthday and there is only 1 doctor to every 36,000 people. The region, the size of Cyprus, has only 7 working ambulances for a population of 1 million!<br><br>Boosting the number of emergency vehicles will save lives.<br><br>We need funds to buy more vehicles and to get them over to Ghana.
