After 33 years working for LBG I am about to start on my second career  - working with a selection of SME businesses in a consultancy capacity. I have been asked by a couple of people what I would like as a leaving present and the reality is that I have been fortunate enough to have been able to acquire the things that I have needed so have been thinking what could I do to make a difference for people less fortunate than myself.

For the last 8 years I have been a supporter of CPA and went to Uganda to help with one of their projects. CPA is a small charity but one which seeks to make a significant impact on those it supports in both Uganda and Ethiopia, working in partnership with the local communities. The charity has projects running in Ethiopia both in Sefi Beret and the Afar Region, currently both areas are suffering massively as a result of the impact of the worst drought since the 1990s. CPA has committed to raise money to support emergency famine relief for 800 school children for the next 3 months and I am looking to raise money to help.
