In memory of David John

Story

Over the last few weeks since Dave’s passing on Sept 5th the shock and numbness is starting to lift. The many tributes from near and far have been a great comfort to our family. We wish to now announce that on Sept.24th at the Bramcote Crematorium Nottingham a Committal Service at 10:15am will be held, followed by a Thanksgiving Service taking place at The Toton Methodist Church, Nottingham, NG9 6NF at 11:30am. Since this is a celebration of David’s life we wish to request people try to refrain from wearing black or bringing/sending flowers, but those wishing to make a donation in lieu of flowers can send it through this page.

Dave had a passion to spread the word for people to sign up on the donor list so leaflets will be available in the church foyer. He also participated in the British Transplant Games which he felt was really important for the transplant patients to see that there’s life after transplant.

We welcome everyone to join us for lunch in the main Hall of the church after the service where we will be a slideshow of photos of his life.
