Story

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, in support of the Mourne Rescue Team.

As you may have read over recent weeks (or perhaps experienced first hand), the Mourne Rescue Team sacrifice their time, but more importantly their own safety - day or night and regardless of prevailing conditions - to ensure our safety and enjoyment of the Mourne Mountains.  So easily can the weather change, leaving experienced and novice climbers alike, stranded and helpless in the mountains.  Without the continuing efforts of the MRT, some these seemingly gentle adventures into the Mournes could have ended so differently.

The MRT are an entirely voluntary emergency service, under represented for the services they provide.

Hopefully you can spare a little in support of this team in the services they so selflessly offer.  I'm donating some cartlidge from my knees, maybe you could spare a few pennies to help show them they're appreciated?  (Going rate for cartlidge is pretty high these days, btw.)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
