So......a Just Giving page.....a London Marathon place and a truly worthy cause, seems like a great combination.

So yes at the first time of asking I bagged a place at the London Marathon(apologies to those who have tried multiple times without success) and it seemed right to do this in aid of something worthwhile. 

Those who know me are fully aware of my 'fondness' for an endurance race or two and London won't be my first marathon this year....or even my longest run this year but it will involve crowds, something akin to my version of kryptonite.

So why Team Verrico, well amongst the plethora of amazing charities out there to support it's very important to support local one. But rather than pretend to recreate the wheel please find the Charity's own mission statement which  I have unashamedly poached below which give the message much better than I could!

The charity's mission is to achieve the following;

- To support research into new treatments and ways of diagnosing responses to treatment of cancer, especially Triple Negative breast cancer, as well as supporting research into the challenges faced by long term survivors of the disease as a result of the physical and psychological consequences of the diagnosis and treatments. 

- To promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers and their families of particularly lethal medical conditions, especially Triple Negative breast cancer, in England and Wales through the provision of financial assistance, support and practical advice.

- To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to the Triple Negative breast cancer condition

So thank you for looking, reading and hopefully donating whilst I shuffle round the streets of London, ultimately enjoying every mile ...
