Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Here goes my story, a few years ago I was invited to a Sophies Appeal black tie do. We were shown a video about Sophie, I sat watching this video about a very brave little girl and her battle against cancer. To say it touched my heart in many ways is an understatement. There was not a dry eye in the room once the video had finished.
It was an unbelievable story and it has stayed with me ever since. I went again to the Sophies Appeal Gala again this year and pledged to raise £500 for the charity within a year. I have been thinking long and hard about what I can do to raise money for Sophies Appeal.......This is what I have come up with:
A sky dive & Abseil, some of my friends will be laughing because they know I am absolutely scared of heights and be wondering if this is actually true well, it is true 100% because I am hoping that friends and family will understand how much I want to do my upmost to raise money for this wonderful charity.
Also, I couldn't leave it there! I love my hair so much.....BUT I am also going to have a sponsored head shave in a place to be decided (I have a few ideas already and waiting for confirmation back to confirm).
Now those who know me may know that I am slightly overweight at present and I have a big bottom. Now to do the sky dive I have to lose around 4 stone in weight and also have a medical to confirm that I am fit to go. I have already joined a gym and have already lost 9lbs so far so I am on my way to losing the weight I require as well.
Hopefully after reading the above.......friends, family and friends of friends will understand what I am actually putting myself through to raise a target of not £500 but raise a total in excess of £10,000 for Sophies Appeal, so I am BEGGING you cap in hand PLEASE SPONSOR ME & HELP ME SMASH MY TARGET.
