Story
The aim of the David Ervine Foundation is to provide opportunities that enable children and young people from disadvantaged communities to reach their full potential. Projects supported by the David Ervine Foundation offer educational training and/or personal development opportunities to children and young people from socially and economically deprived backgrounds and usually include cross-cultural relationship building.
The David Ervine Foundation cuts across all political boundaries and since its inception in 2007 we have received donations from political parties in Northern Ireland, representing both Unionist and Nationalist views, as well as individual donations from Northern Ireland and the USA.
The Fund is managed, as an endowment, by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and since 2007, thanks to the generous support of individuals and groups that include the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, we have distributed almost £50,000 to groups and organizations working with young people.
