 Vitality London 10k run! 

Oh what an exciting day we had on Sunday the 10th July
2016 for the London 10k! deafPLUS had two deaf runners; Amelia and
Donatas fundraising for us!

Donatas came 4th out of all the runners- WOW! He is incredible, we were so PROUD! Donatas you are a STAR!


Then we searched the running hoards for our lovely Amelia running for the first time! Incredibly she did it in just 55 minutes! Could we be any more PROUD of our fantastic duo? Breakfast afterwards was full of laughs and reflection... and promises! Both will try to recruit 6 runners and we will try to find them a masseur... (Gulp! HELP!!!!!)

Both agreed it was wonderful to run  through the (empty) iconic streets of London. Donatas admits he was mainly focused on the pace maker but saw a few of the sights- but mainly remembers the
‘cheer deafPLUS’ British Sign Language wavers- which he said made him feel good; #deafpower!

Amelia loved the party atmosphere and said the crowds helped her run faster than she thought she would- and she enjoyed
it so much she want’s to do it again next year! ‘I am so happy at my time.... and I hope I will have company next time! (hint hint!) ‘Donatas doesn’t count -as he was too far ahead of me!’

Donatas and Amelia ran for deafPLUS- a fantastic charity with 7 centres nationally dedicated to breaking down barriers for deaf, deaf blind and visually impaired people!
