Story
I lost my precious Mum, Hazel Campbell, in November last year to Multiple Sclerosis.
She had coped incredibly well with the condition for 50 years, with it being part of our daily lives as a family. Life was extremely difficult at times, but the way in which Mum dealt with the illness was humbling.
She was always a total inspiration to me with her positive outlook on life and incredible courage. She would say, 'you only get one life, enjoy every minute'.
As such I wanted to undertake a challenge in her memory – this way I can help to support others with this life changing illness.
My dear friend Jackie Campbell was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was understandably devastated initially. Fortunately, she found the MS Information and Treatment Centre in Gloucester, which has become a lifeline for her and many other people both locally and in outlying areas.
Jackie and I have decided to try and raise as much money as possible to help this Centre which is self funding and self supporting. - Jackie using the Centre every week for treatment.
Our decision to take up the challenge of a ‘Fire Walk’ was simply because it’s fairly unique and a real mind over matter experience!
Please help us make a difference to others facing life with this horrible condition.
