Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. The ride will be  a challenge for us both. Debbie has never done a multi-day ride and this will be John's first major ride since his hip replacement in 2015. We have both had problems in training. Debbie was in an accident when her bike was written off (fortunately she was just badly bruised); and John has lost several weeks due to knee problems. However, we are undaunted and determined to complete the ride!

We are raising funds for the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society. Since 1839, SMS has provided financial assistance to fishermen and mariners and their dependents who have suffered hardship, misfortune or poverty, as a result of an accident, illness, disability, unemployment or retirement.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
