Story

*Update*

As you can see we have gone well over our target of £5,000 for the memorial bench for Debs, and I wanted to mark this by passing on my sincere thanks and appreciation to all that have been so generous with your donations and your words. Ray, Shirley and I have been completely overwhelmed with the response and it has given us so much comfort and joy knowing how much of an impact that Debs had on each of your lives. It’s just incredible.

We will now look to use any additional funds to purchase a flowering bulb planting as well, which will be the perfect addition to our memory of Debs at Kew Gardens.

Thank you so very much again.

Grant.

Dear friends and colleagues

In memory of our dear Debs, we have set up this special memorial page for anyone who would like to contribute towards dedicating a memorial bench at Kew Gardens in her memory.

The gardens was one of Debbie’s favourite places, and it became a place of happiness and solace for us over the years. You have no idea how many plants, orchids and trees (yes, trees) from the garden shop that were carried home on the train for her... To say the least, Debs would be so incredibly happy to know that that she is in some way helping Kew, so that its many visitors can experience the same joy and love she had for the gardens.

This page is also a place where you can leave your messages, memories and thoughts. Something that Debbie’s parents, Shirley and Raymond will be so proud to read.

Thank you all for your support, care and love during this time. It has given us so much strength while we grieve for Debs.
