Do you think I'm brave?
Not nearly as brave as Christine Reilly who is an inspiration not only to her family and friends but also to people like me who have sat on the sidelines in awe of her strength and determination to beat cancer, not once but twice! Christines' story is below, hopefully this will inspire you to give generously as every penny is helping families like Christine's through one of the most challenging times any of us could imagine.....
Christine's story:
I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2013 which spread to my lymph system. It reoccurred in 2015. I've undergone chemo radiation of 6 weeks and was lucky to be selected for Cyberknife and then followed up with 6 week long rounds of chemo finished on 16 April.
Macmillan are a wonderful organization a safe place to be yourself and meet new friends with similar journeys. They offer fantastic support and offer holistic treatments yoga. Etc. a new found family. The donations will help raise awareness of unknown cancers and keep this institution alive they do a wonderful job.
Macmillan offer counseling and they also organize talks and seminars teaching people how to live with cancer. My children and Husband Jim enjoy going as they can share experiences and no one pity's you they treat you as a normal person not someone with an illness."
My head shave takes place on 8 July so don't delay!! Kerry Camfield of 4 York Street Salon will be doing the honours!
