We provide vital breaks and short holidays to sick, disabled and abused children in UK

Story

Dear family and friends,

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you, and would love to extend this happiness with children suffering from life-limiting illnesses, who deserve a magical day of their own.

Happy Days is a UK charity organising unique trips, memorable days and activities for children from less privileged backgrounds with serious illnesses, mental and physical disabilities, or who have been victims of abuse and neglect. Due to its small size, Happy Days has low overheads, enabling donations to have a direct and significant impact.

We have selected two projects that we would love to make happen with your support. They are for small school groups, and we would be able to get involved personally.

1. A sailing trip:

19 children aged 6-17 suffering from varying special needs including cerebral palsy and autism (7 of the children are wheelchair bound) would love to go to The Disabled Sailor’s Association in Gosport (Hampshire, UK). This would give them the opportunity to enjoy bracing outdoor activities and have fun with their peer group.

2. A trip to the Harry Potter studios:

30 children aged 11-16 suffering from varying special needs including autistic spectrum disorder and associated learning difficulties would love to visit the Warner Bros. Harry Potter studios (Watford, UK). So cool! ;)

Many thanks in advance for your generous donations. Let’s make this happen!

Di & Raph xx
