When Carl was diagnosed last year with Macular Degeneration after losing his central vision quite rapidly and the next week being told his hearing is almost bad enough to need a cochlear implant, we didn't know where to turn. Then we met some really lovely people associated with Deafblind UK. They have done so much to lessen our frustrations and help us come to terms with the future and have supported us with advice on registration and what he is now entitled to in way of appliances and safety devices, both around the home and whilst out. We are very grateful to them for all their help. This is just a small way of saying thank you. They are such a positive thinking, supportive group. XXXXXXXX
