So many of you have followed the horrible journey from the 2nd October when Diane was admitted to intensive care with breathing difficulties to 19th October when they turned off the life support machines. It is painful to follow but you stuck with us and provided much love and energy for which we are hugely grateful. The sad truth is that the Drs are still not able to pinpoint what drove Diane's illness or what progressed it so rapidly to lead to multiple organ failure... And I pledged to return to the hospital with Diane to express our sincere gratitude for looking after her and make a donation to the cause. Heartbreakingly Diane was unable to survive and so only half of my pledge can be honoured.

Please help me manifest the donation so I can express our thanks to the team at the Heath Intensive Care Unit. Within 4hrs of me reading a leaflet about the Intensive Care Foundation a company had already pledged £5000 and they had never met Diane or myself personally, but had connected to our story. For those who knew Diane you know how much she gave... Her energy, time, compassion, love - she was an angel on earth and is now an angel above looking down on us all.
