Kids Care is a small charity supporting foster care in Bulgaria to provide a safe home environment for children at risk. Children living in intuitional homes are regularly underfed and neglected. In some children’s homes in Bulgaria, there is not enough living space. Children in institutions are not permitted to keep any personal belongings such as photographs and shoes. They are not given the necessary life skills to be on
their own after leaving the institution. As a result, many suffer lifelong
physical and emotional harm. This is a serious problem, on a big scale.

Kids Care supports the work of social workers and psychologists to find safe home environment for the children at risk and ensure they are surrounded with love and care. Since its launch in 2013, it has helped over 90 children be taken out of institutions and placed with foster parents. It is now making a difference in the lives of 83 families
with over 100 children who live in extreme poverty to meet their basic needs of
food, clothing, medical care, etc.
