Dominic and Lisa's Wedding – April 12th 2014
We are so looking forward to celebrating our wedding and ask for nothing more than your company or thoughts on our special day.
It is customary to give gifts at weddings and many people have asked for our wedding list. Yes, we do need new pots and pans to replace items that are scratched or have wrongly entered the dishwasher, but at our stage in our lives we have enough to keep us going, and we will be busy sorting out those six pairs of scissors, toasters and multiple Pyrex dishes that we find ourselves with in the coming months.
However, if you would really like to give us a wedding gift then we kindly ask that you make a donation to the wonderful PACE Centre in Aylesbury http://www.thepacecentre.org/ which we have decided to support to mark the occasion of our wedding, and for them to benefit from any money that would have been spent on gifts for us.
PACE is a registered charity, supporting disabled children (and their families) from the ages of 0 to 18, helping over 100 children from many parts of the Home Counties and the greater London area. It is widely recognised as one of the leading charities of its kind in this region, and in the UK as a whole.
To find out about the work they do you can see a short film about some of the amazing work they do by clicking here: http://youtu.be/jxTFwHZqJxg We hope that you’ll find it just as inspiring as we do!
It would be lovely if we could try to raise £3,000 to support the work of PACE. Such a sum could support the purchase of important equipment such as an “EyeGaze” package, a special technology package that adapts computers or tablet devices to operation by eye movements, rather than a conventional mouse or keyboard; thus helping the children at PACE lead lives of greater independence, and build invaluable skills in our increasingly technological society.
Our giving page will remain open on JustGiving for three months after the wedding. Your donation amount will not show on the page, just the overall total raised so far. People are welcome to give ‘offline’ by writing a cheque to ‘PACE’ with a note saying it is for Lisa and Dominic's Just Giving 'PACE' page.
Please give as much or as little as you can to enable this excellent charity to carry out their wonderful work and purchase essential equipment to help the centre.
Thank you so much for your support.
Dominic and Lisa
