THANK YOU everyone for all the generous donations: you are all in my prayers!
Every young person needs to know God's love and goodness! That is why I would like to raise money for Youth2000, with your generous help.
Youth 2000 is a beautiful charity, run by young people, to reach out to and lead other young people to a real encounter with Jesus Christ in the heart of the Catholic church, through the sacraments; especially in Reconciliation, Mass and Eucharistic Adoration.
This summer, we are holding the 25th festival in Walsingham. Around 1,500 young people will come to the event where there will be perpetual adoration, Holy Mass, confessions, inspirational talks, a variety of workshops, and some crucial time to meet new friends.
It is a fully catered event and costs at least £80,000 to put on. It is run on a donation only basis, so no young person is prevented from coming on grounds of financial hardship. We need the generosity of your donations to carry on this life-changing work.
When I was 14 years old, I went to my first Youth2000 weekend retreat where I experienced God's amazing love during Adoration, and The Lord's unconditional mercy specifically through confession. That was a turning point in my life, where I decided to 'team up' with Jesus... No matter where life will lead, I know He will not abandon me.
Youth 2000 retreats provide an incredible opportunity to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament through adoration which is at the center of every retreat. Adoration continues all day and through the night.
As well as meeting Jesus, Youth 2000 retreats are where lifelong friendships are forged. These days, its tough for young people to stay true to their faith, and meeting other like minded people is crucial.
