Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know our little boy Douglas, who is now 8 years old was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February 2011. He has been through an incredible amount in the past year, and he has been pretty heroic in how he has put up with everything that has been thrown at him, always with a smile and a laugh. He is now clear of the cancer, although he will still have to undergo treatment until July. We, as a family, would like to thank all the Doctors, nurses and support staff in Ward C2 Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for all they have done for us in getting us to where we are now. They have been amazing, as they are with all the other children and families. So that we can give something back, we are organising a sponsored cycle ride to raise money for the ward, to help them carry on the work they do, and continue to help many more families through terribly traumatic times. The ride will be over 2 days, riding from Cambridge to Manningtree in Essex, camping overnight and riding back again the next morning. The ride will be completed my friends and family of ours, who already have given us so much support over the past year. Some are experienced cyclists,, some are not. Some are old and some are yound, Douglas's brother Frankie will be doing the last 25 miles each day. Please give generously, and a really big thank you to everyone donating and also to everyone taking part.
