Story
Thank you so much for visiting our Just Giving Page. Hopefully that means you are able to support our epic challenge for Dreamflight.
Last summer we decided to take on an enormous challenge to raise funds for Dreamflight. Our goal was to do something worthy of your sponsorship! So... on the 30th April this year we set out to conquer an Ultra Challenge walk of up to 66 miles (106kilometres) non-stop around the coast of the Isle of Wight estimating a walk time of 24-30 hours.
Our team of 7 are Kelly Keating, Louise Poulter, Melanie Pretot and Lauren Brackstone who are gunning to conquer the full island challenge of 66 miles (106kilometres)
Lauren Keating and Amy Pretot are taking on the half island challenge at an admirable distance of 33miles (53kilometres), one which we hope their family, friends and schools will be immensely proud of.
Our final member and team doctor (!) is Abigail Burgess who is joining the team for the quarter island challenge walk of 25kilometres.
Whatever distance the team members aim to complete, the common goal is to raise enough money to help fund one child's Dreamflight holiday while individually testing our limits of stamina and determination! Since September 2015 we have been building in training and are now approaching the half way mark of 30 miles - a walk that will take us around 11 hours in whatever weather mother nature throws at us! There have been injuries and blisters of delightful magnitude, but our determination is fierce.
We would be so immensely grateful for your support. Each and every penny really does count and personally means a great deal to each of us. The support of friends and family to reach our fundraising goal adds huge momentum to those long walks! If you can back us in this feat we are so grateful.
One epic challenge .... To help fund one incredible child's holiday.
Thanks a million. xxx
