Story
My name is Elaine Williams and I work as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
This is the ninth consecutive year that I have participated in the Annual Bridgnorth Walk - a 22 mile charity walk through rolling Shropshire countryside, with a nice steep climb up the Brown Clee half way!! Monday, 30th May, celebrates the Walk's 50th year.
This year, I thought I would ask one special little boy I work with called Toby, (who has complex learning and physical disabilities), and his family to choose a specific charity for me to support. The charity they chose was MOTS (Multi Organ Transplant Support), as Toby's Daddy, Ian, will need a multi organ transplant at some stage due to an illness he has had most of his life. The family are members of MOTS, from whom they have already received invaluable support.
Toby is very precious to his Daddy and Mummy! As a family, they have a lot to deal with emotionally and physically, due to both Toby and Ian's hectic daily routines and appointments.
Toby loves his Mummy and Daddy so much and enjoys spending time with them.
MOTS are a small charity who provide emotional and financial support to families when they need it - pre or post their multi organ transplant. It is vital that they are able to continue to provide this unique support to people and other families like Toby and Ian's, through difficult times.
Please help us all raise the profile and awareness of this charity by sponsoring our MOTS team on the Bridgnorth Walk. Other walkers for the team are Grace Mottram, Tony Hayward, Hannah Goss and Sarah Arbuckle.
