for their own travel so donations reach the needy in full. There are no
overheads to cover, we cover them.

APPEAL 1-          SYRIA A HUMAN CATASTROPHE

Syria is being attacked from every angle: Russian, US and UK
airstrikes, bombing and attacks by Assad’s forces and death and destruction from ISIS. In just one day, up to 70 air strikes are carried out in any one area, even civilian areas. These attacks have left scores dead and thousands injured and displaced.

We invite you to donate now and help us on our mission to help
the Syrian people. Their suffering is unimaginable. If you could see the grief and tragedy suffered at losing just one family member – and they lose loved ones every day – you’d see these are people; not statistics, they’re people with a past, hoping for a future. It could just as easily be your mother, your brother. You.

We appeal to you to show a human response to the crisis in

APPEAL 2 – LEBANON – A PLACE
FORGOTTEN

Since the war started in Syria, its neighbouring country
Lebanon has experienced an overflow of more than 1.1 million refugees. This massive number doesn’t include the estimated 700,000 unregistered refugees and the fact that the UNHCR stopped registering refugees in January 2015. 

Millions are in desperate need of food and urgent aid items. Our aid missions for Lebanon start in January 2016 and will continue on a regular basis.

We invite you to donate now and help us on our missions to
help the refugees in Lebanon. Their suffering is unimaginable. We appeal to you to show a human response. Lebanon has opened their doors to the Syrian refugees. Now it’s up to us to help alleviate this human crisis and suffering.

APPEAL 3 - ORPHANS AND CHILDREN IN NEED

The number of orphaned and abandoned children in Syria is on the rise due to the ongoing war crisis. These vulnerable children have gone through traumatic experiences including the loss of loved ones and some have limited or no access to basic necessities of life.

Your help; therefore is extremely crucial and will make an immediate impact on the lives of these vulnerable children.

Secondly, as there are number of aid projects for orphans and children; so in line with our policy to involve our donors and supporters throughout the process of aid delivery I am writing to enquire of your preferences for your donation.

I have below detailed various aid plans that you can choose for your donation to be allocated to:

• Individual Orphan sponsorship, at
  £35 per child in Lebanon and £25 for Syria, per month .  If you choose this option we will write you with details of children that you have sponsored. Pls email your details to info@edinburghcares.org
• Medical &General Relief Fund
  dedicated to orphans and children in need, this entails providing help over and above sponsorships and in the event when child needs special help for example medical treatment which cannot be covered through monthly amounts or other essential items

medical equipment for hospitals in Syria. Here are just some of the items we

APPEAL 5 - RAMADAN & IFTAAR APPEAL

Our volunteer-led aid missions will be leaving end of May

and during Ramadan to provide essential food to stock for Ramadan and will also facilitate, organise and host iftaar cooked-meal distribution gatherings during Ramadan in Syria and Reyhanli (Turkey) where thousands of Syrian refugees currently live.

In the face of constant calamities and devastation your generosity will bring hope and feed those in urgent need of help. No one deserves to stay hungry and rewards of providing food for someone who is fasting or to help someone fast are immeasurable.

Feeding a hungry person and someone fasting is the highest of noble acts.
