Story
Each year, Eastcott Vets chooses a charity to raise funds for. In the past we have supported Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, we named and trained a Guide Dog puppy costing £10,000 and last year we raised funds to help Mission Rabies work towards eradicating rabies thought mass vaccination and education.
This year we have chosen Oak & Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre. The staff and volunteers are dedicated to treating sick, orphaned and injured creatures. This work is very specialised and rehabilitation to the point of a safe return to the wild is costly. Specialist diets, enriching enclosures and mock habitats, treatment, medications and their animal ambulances are all extremely costly to fund.
This year we would like to ask you to join us in fundraising to help Oak and Furrows to build new enclosures and also buy new, much needed equipment such as incubators and specialist weighing scales.
Did you know that the British Hedgehog is facing extinction? Oak and Furrows has an entire Hedgehog Hospital trying to ensure that this never happens and it it full! So, come on, dig deep and make sure that we preserve our British wildlife for the generations to come.
