Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rhino Poaching is escalating and 2016 has not been a good start for our Rhinos so far.  Most of you might already know Hope's story. She was left for dead and thanks to an incredible Veterinary Team she is on the last but probably the hardest stretch to get her face completely healed up.

The huge wound left on her face where they brutally hacked off her horns, has been recovering very well but very slowly.  Her nasal cavities are still exposed and this is where the latest procedures need to focus on in getting that closed as well.  Only then will she be able to have a normal life again.

I am doing my first 40 mile cycling event this coming weekend, a very last minute decision (heard about it last Friday) and I would like to do this first attempt for Hope.  By sponsoring this ride and pledging 25c, 50c, $1 or $5 per mile, we can make steps toward covering the expenses to give Hope her face back.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for your support.  Hope did not ask for her face to be brutally hacked open, her horns removed and then left for dead.  It happened, she miraculously survived and she continues to be the inspiration for other survivors.  Where there is Life, there is always Hope!
