Story

As many of you will have known, Eithne was training to run the Cork City half marathon on Monday June 6th.

Our dear friend Eithne passed away suddenly on Monday 2nd May, so we've decided to run the Marathon Relay in her honour.

Team 1 - Emma, Aoife, Jenny, Mairead & Maurice.    Team 2 - Paula, Val, Irene, Sinead & Karen  and from the Cork Sports Partnership Claire, Ciaran, Maurice & Jams join us will form our third team for the relay.

The reason we've chosen this charity is because Eithne's family requested that instead of flowers at the funeral, that donations be made to the Irish Kidney Association.

Please support us in memory of Eithne.  All donations will be gratefully  received.

Thanks, Emma, Aoife, Jenny, Maud & Maurice

About the charity

We work to meet the needs of people living with, and affected by end stage kidney disease. Our national network of 25 Branches gives us a strong presence at local level both as a peer support network and a base from which we can promote organ donor awareness, another key role of the Association.
