Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you already know, I lost my beautiful Richard Freeman to a massive Brain Haemorrhage last December. Losing somebody so suddenly comes as a terrible shock. Richard was in ICU for 3days, before sadly passing and donating his organs, to save the lives of other people.
When Richard was in ICU, I was totally blown away by the respect, attention and kindness that was shown, not only shown to Richard but to myself and Richards family.
To say the Doctors and Nurses made an extremely traumatic situation, more bearable, would be an understatement. Without the Nurses and Doctors support, we really don't know how, we would have got through this painful time.
I would like to give something back to the Doctors and Nurses in ICU. I am only starting off in my running ventures and am not great by any means. I really feel the need to turn something positive, out of this awful experience. I refuse to let Richards passing go un noticed. He deserves something good to come out of it.
Unfortunately, Richard was one of the unlucky ones in ICU but many other people survive and that's what I want to focus on. I want to help, even in some small way, to help save the lives of others, just as Richard did.
To say, that I am feeling very nervous and very vulnerable, putting this justgiving page up, doesn't even touch it. I am all too aware, that it usually comes down to a popularity contest and putting myself out there, is extremely nerve wrecking but I realise that this is the best way, and easiest way, to try and raise some money.
So, I'm asking all my close friends and Richards friends to support me, just this once lol
Thankyou xo
