My story: As you probably know, I have been diagnosed with stage IV cancer. Although the medical news isn't always good, we have discovered over the past few months the amazing support that come from hospices like LOROS, which, it turns out, are for so much more than just the end of life. We have had fantastic personal and medical support from the community nurse; help with benefits; complementary therapies; a new wheelchair... just for starters!

LOROS is a small local charity that does brilliant work, and I'd love to be able to give back as much as possible to them. So... one of my clever sisters prompted me into setting up a page where anyone could make a little donation. Maybe you want some incentive to quitting smoking, losing weight, or trying to beat a personal run time, and could make a donation to celebrate your achievements. Maybe you'd like to run a coffee morning (and then go for a run!). Maybe you'd just be happy to give to a great little charity. Any way, any little donations will soon add up, and will be very much appreciated.

In return, I'll try to give occasional updates on how I'm doing. Hopefully with LOROS's help, and the love and support of family and friends, there will be plenty of positives and I can keep enjoying my life to the best of my ability, no matter what the medics say!
