Story
My youngest son Elliot has been in and out of Bristol children's hospital since he was 3 months old. With sky high temperatures, mini convulsions, tubes up his nose and needles in both wrists and feet, he has had stays in the hospital for up to 6 days. With lots of scans and tests they confirmed it was his a problem with his kidneys. Elliots left kidney was only 6% grown to size and his right kidney was only 50% but slowly growing to size. So Elliot body as finding it hard to fully funtion whilst constanly fighting off infections
I have decided to do a 10,000ft sky dive to raise money for the hospital. I will be jumping on the 9th of October and hope to raise as much money as possible for this great cause. I feel it is important for me to do as Elliot has just recently had an operation to remove this kidney which was creating his constant infections, it was only 6% grown and never going to work, Removing the kidney would give the other kidney time to grow. The operation went very very well. Elliot was admitted at 12 o'clock and was in theatre by 2.30. What felt like forever was really only 2 and a half hours later I was going to collect him from recovery.
Elliot is doing so well, in fact he was playing around the next day with his brother, walking over to the other bays to see the other children that were staying in the hospital with us, smiling and laughing I could not believe it. I am so impressed with Bristols Children Hospital and will always feel so grateful for what they have done for my boy!

My reason for the crazy parachute jump is to give back to this amazing hospital, the doctors and nurses have been excellent and everyone is quick to help us. The wing we stay in is always very very clean, and I want to help to make sure it this remains this way. Most parents have visited the hospital at one stage for something, even the A&E for cuts and bruises, but we have visited a lot and I want to give people a chance to give something back to this great hospital. Plus it's an excuse for me to do something crazy for children's charity's!!!
