Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are holding a spin-a-thon on 12th Aug to raise money for the neonatal ward in the royal Gwent hospital.
I went into labour 13 weeks early on the 13th May 2016. Our son, Gethin Philip Thomas was born just 1lb 12.5. He was taken straight into intensive care, where the great staff looked after him 24/7. The staff on the ward were amazing. We couldn't have asked for any better care.
Unfortunately, despite the outstanding care he received, Gethin caught an infection and passed away 10 days later.
During our time on the ward we realised how under funded they were. We are doing all we can to raise much needed funds for the special care baby unit (SCBU) in the Royal Gwent Hospital.
Any donation you can make, we know, will be massively appreciated by every one on the ward.
