Story
In may my friends and I all had the chance to visit a project we had helped to fund of building a school and providing clean water to the village of kabaka in the heart of Zambia. What we witnessed whilst there will be ingrained on our hearts forever and seeing the impact of what we had helped contribute towards, the children of kabaka now have a chance at an education and a better life, fresh water, fruit orchards and vegetable patches to give them a healthier diet, and a better shot at life in general.one challenge this community still faces is th cultural issue of teenage girls being pulled out of school at the mere age of 12/13 for different reasons including lack of free education and needing to help at home, but what also ends up happening is these young girls end up pregnant which only makes there situation even worse! One man we all had the pleasure of meeting on this trip was Benson, a young 19 year old man who volunteers at this school everyday for no pay whatsoever, merely out of the goodness of his kind heart.. He is one of the few there who is trying to challenge these cultural issues and trying to break down these barriers to stop this cycle and give these girls a better life by keeping them I school. With benson having the chance to gain a fully certified education this will help him to feed this knowledge down his community but also entitle him to pay for his passionate, heartfelt work. £1800 is all it will cost to put this young man through college will will change the lives of many,so please make any donation you can. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
