Story
Wendy Baggley was my mother-in-law. She sadly died this year after losing a short fight with cancer and a host of other ailments. She was only in her early 70's and far too young and far too kind to be taken.
Wendy dedicated her life to others. She supported numerous charities, made dinner everyday for her elderly neighbour and went to the local school every week, helping young children to learn to read. She was a passionate advocate of helping other people - she once took in two small children and gave them a home when a stranger knocked on her door and asked for her help.
For this reason I would like to honour Wendy's name with a scholarship for a young person suffering from financial hardship. Wendy always wanted to help people and this would mean a lot to her. She was committed to education and had worked as a cook in a college for the much of her working life. She was very proud of me and my job at the University of Lincoln.
