I'll be heading to the Outer Hebrides with my trusty bike for a solo cycle expedition from the most northerly point in the Outer Hebrides 'against the winds' to the most Southerly - on the Island of Vatersay.
I'll be packing my bike, tent and some waterproofs and heading off into the rugged wilds of the Hebrides to cycle over 150 miles down- along route I'll be stopping at the Whale and Dolphin centres to speak to staff and see the work been done.
I start the expedition a few days after completing a research paper on the International whaling trade as a MSc student at Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology. I hope to bring to light the importance of being WILD AND FREE... so many orcas and dolphins remain in captivity. Hopefully where my cycle route meets the sea, I can spot some of these majestic mammals in their natural environment. CAGE FREE.

Your money goes to help the work of WDC, who are working hard to release whales and dolphins from captivity, remember life in concrete tanks is bleak and only twenty of the 145 wild orcas taken into captivity remain alive today. Captive shows are entertainment for money – not education or conservation.
Whales and dolphins have a right to life as nature intended – WILD and FREE. So join help raise funds. Donate on the link.
