Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Housing for Women provides accommodation and support based services to vulnerable women and their children across London. This includes those experiencing domestic violence, women who have been trafficked, elderly women and mothers leaving prison.

For the third year in a row, Housing for Women is holding the London Estate Agents 10k Run. The event will take place on 7th May in Regents Park. I thought it was high time for me to participate and support this great charity.

It is widely known amongst people who know me well that I hate running (this is not an over-statement). So please, if you think that helping women in need is not a good enough reason to donate a few pounds, then think about me running. I know it's only 10k, but to me it's like a marathon...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your support!

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 275 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
