Hi everyone!

On the 29th July, I will be flying out to Kenya for 3 weeks, in a team of 10(ish) people to volunteer in the local community of Kukuyu and Nairobi!

While over there, here are a few things we shall be doing.

Spending time working in Karai school who look after vulnerable children from the Rift Valley who have been displaced by violence. Many of which  are orphans and suffer from post traumatic stress.  We will be running a holiday bible club and taking them out for a picnic fun day! As well as playing lots of games and activities.

We will also spend time with local churches helping run Bible studies and serving alongside them getting to know them and being involved in the local community.

Some days will be spent in both male and female prisons facilitating Bible study sessions and giving talks and prayer.

In order to take part in these amazing projects, I need to raise about £1650. To cover costs of flights, bus transfers, food, accommodation, visas, insurance and admin costs. Not only this, but extra crafty things and treats and essential items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste for the children.
