I have again decided to run the Great North Run this year and really believe I am raising money for a fantastic charity.

Changing Lives provides specialist support services for thousands of vulnerable people and their families, working with people who are or have been experiencing homelessness, are recovering from addiction or are moving on from offending. They also offer vital specialist support services for women and families, and provide employment opportunities.

I truly believe that Changing Lives is providing vital support for those people who need it most. Charity work such as this is often overlooked and that is why I have decided to support this charity. My own experience as a secondary school teacher has really opened my eyes to how significant this support is especially for so many young people and their families.

Please help me raise money for a very worthwhile and important charity.
