Story
Hello, Hello!!!
Thank you so much for visiting our JustGiving page. Please spare a few minutes to read our story.
Who are we?- We are sisters, Charlie (24) and Emma (21) and we are going to run the London Marathon 2016 for Worldwide Cancer Research.
Why?- In March 2014 our mother, Jacqui was diagnosed with Stage Two, Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Immediately after diagnosis she underwent a double mastectomy followed by extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment. In October of this year as a family we celebrated our mum being a year cancer free.
We want to run this marathon not only to celebrate our mother's tremendous achievement against cancer but also to support Worldwide Cancer Research's vital development of more effective treatments for all types of cancer.
We would also like to take this opportunity to honour the memory of Tony Palmer, the cherished husband and father to the Palmer family. Our thoughts and love are with you all.
Cancer is a treacherous disease that affects 1 in 4 people. Please support us in any way you can. No donation is too small.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.
Charlie and Emma :)
