Story
As most of you will know, running a half marathon is a massive challenge for me! However a challenge which has become very personal. Early in 2015, we began to realise that my eldest son, Harry was not reaching all his developmental milestones and it became obvious that he would be diagnosed as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism is a condition that affects how an individual communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. Harry can be challenged emotionally on a day to day basis, and it felt fitting that I should also challenge myself - physically.
Research Autism is the only charity in the UK whose sole focus is to improve the quality of life of those on the autism spectrum - and their families - through promoting and funding research into interventional treatments and therapies.
