Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
**Sadly our Beautiful Mam passed away on Thursday 4th September , she knew that we had decided to fundraise and shave off our hair which makes this event all the more special in her memory and the date will be Saturday 18th October.** xxx
As many of our friends and family will know we are currently being supported by Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland as our mum is very poorly. We want to give something back to the charity as thanks for their ongoing help and support to us and also to our mum through our difficult times. We feel that this charity does not have as much limelight as it deserves, it is a lifeline for families and carers of people who are receiving palliative and end of life care and want to be in their home with familiar surroundings.Whether it be alternative therapy including massages or sitting with the patient so that the carer can recharge their batteries or get caught up with jobs that need doing with the knowledge that someone is there to help look after their relative. We are trying to raise as much awareness for Hospice at Home and what they can do to help people and raise as much as we can including taking part in the colour run in August and currently organising a family fun night in October where we will also get our hair shaved off!!! If you do not like to sponsor online then please feel free to get in touch with us via facebook, or lookout for details of the family fun event soon.
You never know when or what help you may need, and for us to have people available like this is just amazing xxx
p.s. as Helens pony tail is long she will also be donating this to the Little Princess trust which will also help their fundraising
