Story

Hello everyone!

In January I completely lost my mind and decided to train for a half marathon. Bearing in mind back then I could barely walk a mile... I have had to train hard... and it's now nearly time for the big event!

I am running to raise money for The Queen Victoria Hospital. This is where I need your help...

The QVH is a specialist NHS hospital providing life changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England.

In 2014 they looked after my Mum, Suzanne, during 8 hours of reconstructive surgery to put back what cancer had taken away. I was deeply moved by the efforts of the surgeons and nurses. They give patients the best chance of a normal life after such traumatic events.

Since her treatment at QVH Mum has grown in confidence and happiness. It has been amazing to see her find peace within herself after such a tumultuous time.

All of the treatment and cancer care given to Mum was COMPLETELY FREE on the NHS.

The money raised through this page will go towards funding a new breast surgeon post (oncoplastic fellow) This post is of significant benefit to the breast care service, their patients and ensures that new surgeons gain and develop their skills.

This cannot be done without charitable donations.

Please give generously, it means the world to me and the family.
