My beautiful, brave niece Evie was born last March with complex medical issues. Every day of her life she fought bravely, with positivity and smiles. During the time I was privileged to spend with Evie, she inspired me to be a braver, stronger person. So in Evie's honour (and in honour of Greg and Jill's positivity) I had to do something truly brave. Evie's mam Jill suggested the Great North Swim and as I'm terrified of open water and fish it seemed like the perfect challenge. Claire, Kate, Laura, Colleen and Mark have all been kind (or stupid!) enough to join me! The money we raise for Team Evie will make life better for other children and families in Evie, Greg and Jill's position.
