Hello friends, family and colleagues!  Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page to find out about my quest to run the 2016 London Marathon.

I'm running the marathon in support of a small charity called The Dockland Settlements, who provide support to families in the Newham & Tower Hamlets boroughs, two of the most deprived council areas in the UK.  In Tower Hamlets alone, home to Canary Wharf, 46% of children live in poverty and 35% of households are deemed to be overcrowded.

Originating in 1894, The Dockland Settlements provide invaluable support to families by providing low cost after school and weekend clubs for children, and low-cost childcare supporting low waged parents to return to work.  They are an incredibly efficient charity with 96.3% of their spending devoted to charitable activities, so your donation will be heading straight for the work done to support these families.
